Two weeks ago I visited Copenhagen again, I absolutely adore going there because the city has such an incredible vibe and I love the Scandinavian style. I wouldn’t describe my style as Scandinavian but I do try to implement some of the signature Scandi ideas into my outfits on a daily basis. The secret behind the Scandinavian style is to look effortless, the idea that you look interesting but at the same time without looking like you have tried too hard; the key to this is having an eye for the details. Whether this is adding a belt on a dress or buying a sweater that has long sleeves, it’s all about the details. However this (unfortunately) will not look as good with only low quality clothing, as if there is anything the Scandinavian style requires, it’s quality. I’m talking about cashmere, silk, wool, leather and so on. Besides the clothing, the makeup is super important, I guess there’s something in the water over there, because almost every Scandinavian girl is a natural beauty, which is probably why they keep their makeup clean and simple, which will save you quite some time. However, if you want a little bit more, try a classic red lip, or some fancy eyeshadow, not at the same time of course, keep it clean and classy. From time to time I like to implement a few of these tricks in my outfit, such as in my look above, in which I tried to keep my outfit laid back yet classic. What do you think? Did it work out for me? Let me know!
