STRIPED SHIRT IN PARIS

Lately I’ve been obsessing over striped shirts. Knowing that stripes won’t loose any cool factor. Stripes will always be in. They have migrated from an occasional flourish to being a mainstay in the fashion conversation. And so the simple stripe has transcended the trend stratosphere as it proves to have mileage way beyond the 110 mph pace of the seasonal circuit. So if it’s got a place in your wardrobe, how will you style it? There are a million ways to style this print allthough my favourite is to see it in a shirt. It gives that classic vibe you want to combine with some edgy sneakers.

Only there are some rules to check if you want to rock this print perfectly. As that horizontal lines are most flattering when bold and wide and narrow stripes suit petite figures best. The one thing we all love about stripes when they are vertically. They are universally slimming. Clashing different styles of striped items is cool but do not forget to walk with a devil-may-care attitude to pull of this look.

Together with these AG jeans. Quick note: these are super comfortable so thumbs up for Alexa Chung here. I tried to create a casual chic look by combining my minimalistic striped shirt from Rejina Pyo with a pair of trainers. I always think trainers make everything look more casual so that makes it an easy decision.

Now tell me, what are your favourite kind of stripes?

Rejina Pyo – Shirt
Céline – Sunglasses
Balenciaga – Bag
